Mother’s Day at The Dean

Mother’s Day at The Dean

One of the most important days of the year is quickly creeping up on us…On Sunday 30th of March, we here at The Dean cannot wait to celebrate Mother’s Day with you! Sometimes we forget how much we take for granted from our amazing mums and so it’s important to take the opportunity to celebrate them in a manner that’s as fabulous as they are. Make the most of the day and spend some quality time with your mum and say a thank you to her for just being her! We’d love to host you on such a special occasion and are inviting you to take advantage of our Spring Break offer and get 15% off your stay with us in either Dublin, Cork or Galway.

The Dean Cork

Spoil your mum with some classic gifts. Who doesn’t love flowers and chocolate? In Cork, some of the best bouquets are to be found in The Best of Buds florist, just around the corner from The Chocolate Shop in the gorgeous English Market

Make the most of the sunshine in Cork City and get out for a walk along the River Lee. Reward your steps with a well-deserved rooftop lunch in Sophie’s Rooftop for you and your mum. After you’ve been well fed, we suggest you move to our fab lobby for a cocktail made by one of the members of our highly experienced team. We recommend a French 75, a mix of champagne, gin and lemon (it’s giving Mother!). No need to worry about drawing the short straw as designated driver. The Dean Cork is located right next door to Kent Train Station so feel free to properly cheers to your amazing mum!

The Dean Dublin

Start the special day off right by sweetening your mum up with gifts. Flowers and chocolate can do no wrong and will be sure to put a big smile on your mum’s face. If you are staying with us in Dublin, we suggest you go no further than your doorstep, as some of the most gorgeous flowers in the city come from street sellers on Camden Street and Grafton Street. Don’t forget to pop into Butlers Chocolate Café, located very conveniently at the top of Grafton Street, where you will be spoilt for choice to pick the right sweet treat for your mum.

As much as we’d all love to live off a diet of chocolate alone, it’s sadly not sustainable and so we suggest you let us take care of you and your mum on this special day. Why not take advantage of the spring sun and bring her for a memorable meal at Sophie’s Rooftop Terrace?

Mother’s Day in Dublin is in full swing with events ranging from ABBA singalongs to jewellery making and everything in between. Whether you’re hitting up one of these unique events or are simply enjoying a girly day of shopping, you’re sure to work up an appetite. Book your table for a lovely lunch, or if all the chocolate can tie you over a little longer, a delicious dinner.

The Dean Galway

Flowers are always a yes, particularly Yes Flowers in Galway City. Take a quick stroll down past the iconic Eyre Square to pick out your beautiful bunch for your equally beautiful mum. Then head into Brown Thomas and pick up some chocolate from Grá Chocolates, made with love in Galway City itself!

Mother’s Day is falling on a Sunday this year and so does the weekly Galway Craft Fair held on Church Lane. Continue your wholesome day with a stroll back through the Eyre Square and up the town to do some window shopping. Or pay a visit to some of the famous Galway pubs, as there are so many to choose from. At the end of your lovely day with your mum, you’re sure to be hungry.

Treat your mum to a tasty three course dinner in Sophie’s, priced at €59 per person and includes a complimentary glass of bubbly for your fab mum on her momentous day. Whether you think woodfired pizza or buffalo chicken wings scream Happy Mother’s Day, we’ve got you covered. Elephant & Castle have also carefully created a set menu that you and your mum are going to love. Choose from either 2 courses for €35 or for those who can’t sacrifice a starter or dessert (and why should you?), opt for 3 courses for €44.95 which also includes a glass or prosecco for your lovely mum.

In case you feel overwhelmed with choice, why not opt for a gift card for your mum to choose what she’d like to do instead? After all, mother knows best!
